Simple, yet distinct, these anise seed & cinnamon flavored shortbread cookies are deeply ingrained in the culture & history of New Mexico. Recipes have been handed down from abuelas generation after generation & have adorned Christmas tabletop spreads since the 1st Spanish colony in 1598. As distinctively spicy as the cookie itself, this blend is created with a fine, stone ground matcha, cinnamon, anise & whole cane sugar.
