Alannah Myles debut RIAA Platinum Album Award

RIAA Platinum Album award for Alannah Myles debut album. Released on March 20, 1989, the album went Platinum for one million copies sold on Mar. 21, 1990.  Myles' debut album took off after single "Black Velvet" became a global hit for the blues/rock singer. The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also in several other world music markets, also winning Myles a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and a Juno Award for Single of the Year in 1990.
