RIAA Gold LP award for Ashford & Simpson's album Solid. Released in 1984, the album was certified Gold on March 7, 1985 for 500,000 copies sold.  In addition to the songwriting and performing duo's biggest hit as performers, "Solid" which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the album also spawned two other singles "Outta The World", and "Babies". The album went to #1 on the Billboard Top R&B albums chart, #29 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
