Great Scott! It's a RIAA Gold LP award for the Back To The Future: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack. The soundtrack album for the classic 1985 film was released on July 20, 1985 and was certified Gold on Sept. 6, 1985 for 500,000 copies sold.  Containing "The Power of Love", the first #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for Huey Lewis and the News, which was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, the album also contained tracks from Eric Clapton, Lindsay Buckingham, Etta James and score writer Alan Silvestri. Tracks were also included from fictional group "Marty McFly with the Starlighters", named after Michael J.
