With contributions from Amy Poehler, Colson Whitehead, Wes Anderson, Luc Sante, and more, it reveals their journey from teenage punks to their debut album that became the first hip hop record ever to hit #1, Licensed to Ill. The book is also the inspiration for the Apple TV+ live documentary entitled Beastie Boys Story, directed by Spike Jonze.
