This single was released on Nov. 23, 1964 and just a month later certified Gold by the RIAA on Dec. 31, 1964 for one million copies sold. A well-known hit from the Beatles early career, it went to #1 in virtually every major music market worldwide. Utilizing feedback for one of the first times in pop music history, the track was sung by John Lennon.
