Beatles 1965-69 Cartoon Series Animation Cel

Framed Beatles collectible piece with an original animation cel from The Beatles cartoon series. The series ran from 1965 to 1969 on the ABC television network in the U.S., ITV in the UK and the ABC network in Australia. It lasted for 39 episodes and marked the first time a weekly animated series based on real people was broadcast on television. This is an original animation cel from the series and this particular cel shows the Paul McCartney character in color with the other three Beatles in black "pencil sketch" making it more interesting than a single character cel. The cel is, of course, made of plastic material and is framed with an acid-free, creme colored matte behind it so as to highlight the artwork. It is also nicely double matted in white/black. The piece comes complete with original backing paper stamped "Eigendom Capitol Theater" ("Property of Capitol Theater" in Dutch).
