RIAA Platinum LP award for the Bee Gees Children Of The World album. The album was released in September 13, 1976 and certified Platinum by the RIAA on December 23, 1976 for 1 million copies sold. Bee Gees awards are hard to find. The album contained one of the Bee Gees biggest 70s period singles "You Should Be Dancing", which went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976 and many other world charts. The album helped usher in disco as a genre the group would become world famous for after early success in more straight forward pop and folk music. Other singles "Love So Right" and "Boogie Child" would also hit #3 and #12 respectively on the Hot 100. See image above for the RIAA sales certification info on this album*. *Avoid paying auction fees/buyer's premiums by buying our RIAA awards here on our site before they go to auction.
