Blues Traveler four RIAA 5x Multi-Platinum Award
RIAA 5x Multi-Platinum Award for Blues Traveler's four album. The group's breakthrough debut was released on Sept. 13, 1994. The album was certified 5x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA on April 26, 1996 for five million copies sold. This became the John Popper and crew's breakthrough album with tracks "Run-Around" (#8 on the Billboard Hot 100) and "Hook" (#23) and "Run-Around" also won the Grammy award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group in 1995. The album itself peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. By 1997 the album had been certified 6x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA.
