RIAA Gold album award for Captain & Tennille's album Song Of Joy. Released on Feb. 27, 1976, the album was quickly certified Gold by the RIAA on March 10, 1976 for 500,000 copies sold. The husband and wife duo of Daryl "Captain" Dragon and Toni Tennille released their second album on the heels of their successful 1975 debut effort. It featured three top 10 hits including "Muskrat Love", which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, "Lonely Night (Angel Face)" which hit #3 and "Shop Around", also at #4. By later in 1976 the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA (in the first year that Platinum certification was launched by the RIAA).
