RIAA Platinum Album award for Gloria Estefan album Into The Light. The album was released on Jan. 22, 1991 and certified Platinum by the RIAA on Mar. 26, 1991 for one million copies sold. Estefan's second solo studio album and first after recovering from serious injuries suffered in a tour bus crash featured a track related to that recovery entitled "Coming Out Of The Dark". The track went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album went to #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, #2 in the UK and it charted in many other markets around the world. By 1994 the album was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for two million copies sold.
