RIAA Platinum Album award for the KISS album Animalize. Released on Sept. 17, 1984 and certified Platinum by the RIAA on Dec. 12, 1984 for one million copies sold.* This was the group's 12th album and the only one with Mark St. John on lead guitar. St. John replaced Vinnie Vincent. Paul Stanley collaborated with noted songwriter Desmond Child to produce the album's biggest hit "Heaven's On Fire", which reached #49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
