New Edition self-titled RIAA Platinum Album Award

RIAA Platinum Award for New Edition's self-titled second album. Released on Sept. 28, 1984, it was certified Platinum by the RIAA on Jan. 17, 1985 for one million copies sold.  The second album from New Edition contained the singles "Cool It Now", "Mr. Telephone Man", "Lost In Love", and "My Secret (Didya Gitit Yet?)". It reached #6 on the Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart. It also did well in several other countries including the Canada, Ireland and New Zealand. By 1995 the album was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by ther RIAA for two million copies sold*.
