A&M Records 1980s label award for Quincy Jones album The Dude. Quincy, or "Q," released this solo album in the midst of his career as super producer of hundreds of recordings including Michael Jackson's Thriller and many more major successes, winning 28 Grammy awards along the way. Released on Mar. 26, 1981, it featured the Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 singles "Just Once" and "One Hundred Ways", featuring vocalist James Ingram. Remember Quincy Jones (1933-2024) with this award. The album topped both the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop and Jazz Album charts, and reached #9 on the Top 200 Album tally. It also was nominated for 12 Grammy awards (including Album of the Year), winning three at the 24th Grammy Awards in 1982.
