RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Award for Red Hot Chili Peppers album Californication. Released on June 8, 1999, the album went 3x Multi-Platinum for three million copies sold on March 28, 2000, which this award celebrates. In addition to the popular title track, singles from the release included "Otherside", "Around The World", "Parallel Universe", and "Scar Tissue" which won the group a Grammy award. The album peaked at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart (and remained on the chart for 101 continuous weeks) and #5 on the UK chart.
