RIAA Gold 45 award for Sly & The Family Stone track "If You Want Me To Stay". Released on June 7, 1973 it was certified Gold by the RIAA on Sept. 12, 1973 for one million copies sold. "If You Want Me to Stay" was Sly Stone and his band's last Top 20 pop hit. The single peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and #3 on the R&B Singles tally. It also charted in several other countries.
