Sting Nothing Like The Sun RIAA Platinum Album Award

RIAA Platinum Award for Sting album Nothing Like The Sun. Released on Oct. 5, 1987 and it was certified Platinum by the RIAA on Dec. 15, 1987 for one million copies sold.  Sting’s second solo album contained the hit singles "We'll Be Together", "Be Still My Beating Heart", "Englishman in New York", and "Fragile". The album reached #9 on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts, #1 on the UK Album chart, and reached the top 10 in many other countries. It won the Brit Award for Album of the Year and garnered three Grammy award nominations including for Album of the Year.  By early 1991 it was certified 2x Multi-Platinum for two million copies sold.
