RIAA Gold LP "white matte" award for The Moody Blues album Days Of Future Passed presented to The Moody Blues. The prog rock classic was released on Nov. 11, 1967 and certified Gold by the RIAA on Oct. 2, 1970 for one million dollars worth sold. The album was a breakthrough through for the group with "Tuesday Afternoon" -- officially entitled "Forever Afternoon (Tuesday)" -- reaching #24 on the Billboard Singles chart in 1968. Later "Nights In White Satin" would become the group's signature track, after reaching #2 in the U.S. in 1972. The album initially went to #27 in the U.K., and later progressed to #2 in U.S. by 1972.
