Description Audio Technica OPTIX1-S3-US RF Over Fiber Single Ch System The OPTIX Series 3 is a high performance RF to fiber optic (RFoF) conversion system professionally designed for facilitating the remote placement of wireless audio antennas. The OPTIX Transmitter module is able to convert the RF signals arriving from an antenna source into a singlemode optical signal, sending that signal down a length of fiber-optic cable to the OPTIX Receiver module which is converting the source signal right back into RF. The system is capable of extending the range of antenna placement up to several kilometers without any signal loss over the optical cable, resulting for the elimination of the need for  bulky and lossy coaxial cable runs. The OPTIX Series 3 is designed as very well-suited for live production as well as installed sound, it also comes with a extensive user configurable controls for managing the signal level, even directly monitor outputs to dial in performance, and apply DC power for active antennas or amplifiers.
