Unlike any other of its kind, it is shockmounted within an intricate machined brass ring, the Audix SCX25A capsule is completely isolated from the mic body and electronics. By minimizing acoustic reflections and diffractions successfully, the Audix SCX25A is able to deliver a open-air, pure sound with exceptional realism and detail. The Audix SCX25A equipped with a smooth uniform frequency response from 20 Hz - 20 kHz, is also very consistent when responding to on and off-axis signals, it exhibits an excellent phase coherence and minimal proximity effect. The Audix SCX25A comes with a wide cardioid polar pattern which is enabling the sound engineer to have the opportunity of blending the sound of the instrument or vocal with the sound of the room.
