Description Audix SCX25A Premium large diaphragm studio condenser microphone MIC, COND, STUDIO, SCX25-A, CARD, 1" The Audix SCX25A is a professional studio condenser microphone designed elegantly and with a patented capsule suspension system. Unlike any other of its kind, it is shockmounted within an intricate machined brass ring, the Audix SCX25A capsule is completely isolated from the mic body and electronics. By minimizing acoustic reflections and diffractions successfully, the Audix SCX25A is able to deliver a open-air, pure sound with exceptional realism and detail. The Audix SCX25A equipped with a smooth uniform frequency response from 20 Hz - 20 kHz, is also very consistent when responding to on and off-axis signals, it exhibits an excellent phase coherence and minimal proximity effect. The Audix SCX25A comes with a wide cardioid polar pattern which is enabling the sound engineer to have the opportunity of blending the sound of the instrument or vocal with the sound of the room. Other features include a one-inch (25 mm) gold vapor capsule, extremely small footprint and an miniaturized electronics. The Audix SCX25A will handle SPL in excess of 135 dB and will be able to provide up to 20 dB of ambient noise rejection. For a lower output option, the SCX25ALO is available with a max SPL limit of 150 dB and a sensitivity of 4.9 mV/Pa. In addition to vocals, the SCX25A is ideally suited to capture acoustic instruments such as piano, guitar, vibes, woodwinds, brass, percussion toys, drum overheads, choir, orchestra and symphony sectionals. The SCX25A is manufactured with a precision machined brass body, innovative capsule suspension system, steel mesh grill, black multi-layer class ‘A’ liquid finish and gold plated XLR connector.  FEATURES Premium large diaphragm studio microphone for studio or live sound Delivers pure open air sound Shock mounted capsule suspension system Designed, machined, assembled and tested in the USA 3 year warranty APPLICATIONS Piano Acoustic instruments Drum overheads Ambient room mic Studio, lead, and backing vocals Voice over Choir Orchestra Specifications Transducer Type CondenserFrequency Response 20 Hz - 20 kHzPolar Pattern CardioidOutput Impedance 200 ohmsSensitivity 28 mV / Pa @ 1kEquivalent Noise Level 14 dB (A-weighted)Signal to Noise Ratio 80 dBMaximum SPL ≥135 dBDynamic Range 121 dBPower Requirements 48-52 V phantomConnector 3-pin XLRmPolarity Positive pressure on diaphragm produces positive voltage on pin 2 relative to pin 3 of output XLR connectorMaterials / Finish Machined Brass / Black FinishWeight 244 g / 8.6 ozLength 148 mm / 5.8 in
