The CMS 501 comes featuring a 130 mm (5.00”) mineral loaded polypropylene cone mid-bass cone and a 19mm (0.75”) aluminum dome HF unit that comes along with Inductive Coupling Technology (ICT). This compact loudspeaker is ideally suited to high-level music and speech applications that require exceptional sonic quality along with uncompromised reliability. The point source configuration of the Tannoy ICT driver’s mid-bass and tweeter sections comes ensuring a wide and controlled dispersion intended for optimum coverage. The use of a wireless electromagnetic tweeter means that no crossover is required in the design which certainly improves long-term reliability. The inclusion of a premium quality Tannoy THP 30 low insertion loss multi-tap transformer, for distributed-line operation, is providing aa high system sensitivity, wide bandwidth and exceptional dynamic range. With a frequency range of 74Hz-24kHz, continuous program power capacity of 100Watts and sensitivity of 89dB/Watt, the CMS 501 is truly built to be ideal for small to medium sized rooms or installations that requires large arrays of in-ceiling speakers for covering a large area. The CMS 501 is available as Blind Mount and Pre-Install variant without transformer, with or without integrated zinc-plated steel back can, and comes including features such as recessed termination box, removable locking connector along with screw terminals and a strain relief clamp designed for use with plenum rated cable or conduit.
