Description Tannoy CMS1201SW 12" Ceiling Subwoofer The CMS 1201SW is a professionally designed passive 1,600-Watt subwoofer and is ideally-suited for use along with the CMS 3.0 range of ceiling monitor systems, or any full range system that requires an extended bass response. A big thanks to its powerful 12" long throw low frequency driver, the CMS 1201SW is capable of delivering a dynamic LF extension and premium grade audio designed for installed music and speech reinforcement applications. Low Frequency DriverIntended for systems capable to utilize an external active crossover and separate amplifier channels intended for the subwoofers, CMS 1201SW’s 12" (300 mm) bass driver that is featuring a 3" copper sandwich voice coil intended for low power compression, and triple aluminium demodulating rings designed for ultra-low distortion. Optimised for InstallationThe custom-engineered powder coated steel back-can and grille assembly (both available separately) have been designed capable of catering to all conceivable installation possibilities that makes the CMS 1201SW extremely versatile. The internally-damped 79 litre (2.8 cubic feet) back-can is capable of providing an exceptional LF performance that is easily on par along with conventional wooden enclosure loudspeakers. Steel mounting lugs are made for allowing the fitting to a Unistrut roof rail system or intended for suspension with the use of 4 top-mounted eye bolts. Alternatively, the design is allowing for a single point suspension, which is possible to be handled with the use of the use of M10 or 3/8" UNC screwed rod. Connection is quick and simple by the use of the terminal barrier strips inside the can, which are easily accessed by using 20 and 29 mm conduit knockouts on all 5 sides. Installation is possible to be facilitated by a single person, which are capable to amount to considerable savings in large-scale projects.
