Calcium 500 mg Pharmavit is a lemon-flavored effervescent tablet containing calcium, which is necessary for the proper functioning of muscles and nerves, for bone and tooth growth. The daily calcium requirement varies between 500 and 2000 mg and increases in pregnancy, lactation and growth. It is used to meet the increased calcium requirement during growth, pregnancy and lactation. It is used as part of treatment for bone thinning (osteoporosis), bone softening (osteomalacia), capillary permeability in allergic reactions, as adjunctive therapy for spasmophilia and tetany (increased nervous irritability prone to muscle spasms) and also supports healing fracture.
