Strepfen lozenges relieve sore throat , especially when swallowing, and soothe inflammatory swelling of the throat that accompanies diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx of bacterial or viral origin. They are also used as a supportive treatment for the treatment of angina (tonsillitis) and pharyngitis (pharyngitis). Quickly dissolve in the mouth (within 5 to 10 minutes) and have a calming effect after 2 minutes of use. The onset of action, ie pain relief and reduction of throat swelling, should occur within 22 minutes of taking the lozenge and should persist for 4 to 6 hours.
