The memory of that tea was so vivid that when this year’s harvest arrived, it was the very first tea I opened among all the teas I sourced—and it was just as delightful as I remembered. Tieguanyin Oolong is one of my favorite teas to collect. Each version tells its own story through terroir, oxidation, baking, and craftsmanship. This Taiwanese Tieguanyin is a stunning example of the cultivar, and it makes a wonderful tea to compare and contrast with Tieguanyin Oolongs from other regions.
