Species: Pleurotus ostreatus, Black Oyster, Black Pearl Black Pearls are an oyster hybrid from Japan that is a cross between European and Japanese oysters. The young fruit bodies resemble King Oysters/Trumpets as they grow and then resemble the familiar pearl oyster appearance as they mature. They have a dense, meaty stalk that is a little softer than its oyster cousins and are wonderful on the grill. Includes one 10ml live liquid culture syringe.
