GFA Hopper

The General Foam Attractor Hopper pattern is a great pattern for both ease of tying and putting fish in the net. As the name suggests, this pattern seeks to imitate a variety of larger meals that find their way to the surface, such as grasshoppers and stoneflies. Since this is one of our favorite small creek and stream flies, we tend to size down to match the size of the fish. Bigger flies in those situations often end in false strikes and flies in the trees after the failed hookset. Give our options a try for more effective time on the water this summer!
