MH Mooseback Baetis

This MylesHigh original baetis pattern brings an unusual material to the baetis nymph scene, moose hair. With moose hair being stiff and buoyant, it is normally seen in larger dry flies. But these very properties are why we thought it made for a great emergent baetis material, representing the wispy tail of baetis nymphs which they use as strong swimmers. The sparse nature of the fibers allows the flash along the back to shine through just enough to catch the eye of gorging fish in faster water. The black wire rib allows the fly to keep a realistic profile to fish just as well in slower water to selective fish. This fly will continue to be a staple in our boxes year round.
