Pat's Rubber Legs

A Pat Dorsey pattern that is one of the greatest stonefly patterns to ever hit the water. This fly is a masterclass on how important fly profile is. While not super detailed and using minimal materials, this fly produces fish like no other when stoneflies are present. Our favorite is the Olive Brown in size #6-8.   This fly is hand-tied with 0.30 lead wire to get it down no problem as a lead fly without a bead head. Using thicker wire underneath also helps create a fuller body to imitate the thickness of larger stonefly nymphs, the ones big fish go out of their way to snag in the current!
