This is an original vintage 17.75" x 35.50" contemporary oil on board thin framed painting circa 1960-1970, still in good condition, signed by the late Haitian master Andre Normil. It is from a private collector from Illinois, US, who inherited it from a family member. The painting will be shipped from there, and our gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase. André Normil is a self-taught Haitian primitive master, born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on September 27, 1934, and died on May 2, 2014. He started to paint in 1951 at the Centre d'Art. Normil's primary activity has always been painting, and he paints Haitian life's daily scenes with keen observation and humor. His scenes are rich in colors, and his primary colors, composition, and techniques are the best Haitian art. In 1969 he exhibited in England, in 1970 in Germany and Italy, in 1971 in France.
