In her hand she carries a basket of treats. Grandmother is ill and must have food to strengthen her. She heeds her mother's warning: do not leave the forest path. A shadow slinks from tree to tree. Sharp teeth glisten in the dappled light as he watches the girl make her way through the woods. A plan forms in his evil heart. He will be waiting when she arrives.
