Pilgrim's Priory
Mood: A low wooden door opens into a quiet sanctuary, the stone cool beneath your hand. Candlelight moves along smoke-darkened beams and iron holders, and the air is heavy with the memory of long-kept fires. This priory at Saul has stood through the turning of ages, where Patrick returned from exile, built, prayed, and at last was laid to rest, leaving behind a faith set deep in stone and memory. Smells like: Soft warmth of cashmere meets you, gentle after the cold air outside. Candle smoke carries a faint trace of jasmine, clinging to the air like incense long burned within these walls. Farther in, light woods from aged beams emerge, touched with amber, while patchouli and musk linger in the air of a place shaped by prayer and devotion.
