Hanohano is strung with pīkake and ʻilima. Although pīkake is not native to Hawaiʻi, it is a local favorite. ʻIlima is indigenous to Hawaiʻi and are paper thin flowers. To make a lei like Hanohano, it could take over 1000 ʻīlima, so recipients of lei ʻilima should feel very honored.   [Hanohano: Glorious, magnificent, noble, honored, stately, dignified. Kui: To string pierced objects, as flowers in a lei.] Details: • Pocket Notebook measures 5in x 7in • 60 blank pages • Saddle Stitched with Staple • Outside: 110# smooth cover • Inside: 60# smooth paper Artwork by Kākou Collective
