Cara Dish

I am a Cara Dish. Ideally I’m used for salad, but I don’t mind being treated to an ice cream sundae every once and a while too.    Curator's Notes   When salads are served on wooden dishes, they look more appetizing. These dishes make the simple act of eating your meals more enjoyable. I personally like to use them for my stews and soups. The curvature of the edges makes it easy to pick up and slurp. I also like the sound that it makes when my spoon or fork comes in contact with the wooden dish.  "Cara" is a series of egg-shaped tablewares making the most of the warmth of wood as a material and Japanese thin-wood-curving techniques. The curvatures of the pieces are meant to mimic the egg so as to fit gently within your hands.
