Jindainire Long Vat (OUT OF STOCK)
I am a Jindainire Long Vat. My depth is as deep as my origins. Curator's Notes Leaving this deep-rimmed tray unadorned not only showcases the meticulousness with which Mitani carves his pieces, it also highlights the material beauty of Jindainire wood. Also known as “God’s Elm”, Jindainire is a rare wood that emerges from being buried and affected by ash. Like a phoenix, the wood rises from the ash underground to develop unique patterns in its grains and transforms itself into something beautiful and highly revered.
