Wrought-Iron Bowl (OUT OF STOCK)
I am a Wrought-Iron Bowl. I may be hard bodied, but I look as soft as velvet. Curator's Notes This wrought-iron bowl is forged from a single piece of iron, hammered into a deep basin, and finished with an urushi lacquer that is mixed with a red powder pigment called bengara. When the piece is fired and oxidizes, the red turns to a deep navy colour.
