Wrought-Iron Frying Pan - 10" (OUT OF STOCK)
I am a 10" Wrought-Iron Frying Pan. My evenly distributed heat simply can't be beat. Curator's Notes The hand-forged frying pan is the centerpiece of Takayoshi Narita's collection - representing both the artisan's high level of craftsmanship, and his fine arts background. It was the first piece of cookware he created, and served as a catalyst in his pivot from fine arts to metalworking. The pan is made from four pieces: basin, handle, and two rivets. Heat does not transfer to the handle as the rivets absorb the majority of heat when cooking. Everything is hand forged by Narita-san himself, requiring hours of physical labor to transform iron from a solid mass to a perfectly thin pan. The result is a gorgeous and highly functional pan that, when properly seasoned, becomes naturally non-stick.
