Antique English Aesthetic Movement Large Serving Platter Circa 1880 P B S Fern Wreath This extra large, teal blue platter is simply one of the sweetest in subject matter.  Made by Powell, Bishop and Stonier encompassing budding vines, maidenhair fern, flowers and ivy leaves with a pair song birds perched on the branches and dragonflies / butterflies fluttering in the air.  Breathtaking piece for your collection! Livesey, Powell & Co began in Hanley, Staffordshire at the Old Hall Lane and went under this name from 1851 - 1866. They produced a wide range of earthenware, ironstone and china and were one of the earliest manufacturers of the ever popular Asiatic Pheasants pattern (still produced today). One of the founders, Livesay, retired in 1866 and the L. P. & Co was succeeded by Powell & Bishop.
