Staffordshire Polychrome Brown Transfer Ware Plate Royal CauldonFor consideration is this antique plate from a rare series by Royal Cauldon. This plate looks a lot like creamware with an all over impressed/embossed design done with much intricacy and detail around the border. The plate depicts a very detailed red breasted Meadowlark and Gikdfinch or possibly a Yellow Warbler in a cage.   The brown transfer features shades of gold, black, blue, red, and green.  Beautiful detail!The plate is in great condition for its age, very fine allover crazing and some allover coloring/slight darkening of the glaze. It has a gorgeous patina.  Measures: 10 1/2"
