The flowers are clobbered (hand enamel applied over the glaze) in shades of pink, purple, orange and green. It is absolutely stunning and a great opportunity to add an exquisite piece to your collection. It is stamped as shown below with a beehive mark and hand numbered 400.Ridgway Potteries Ltd, was founded sometime around 1744. Sometimes called the Grandfather of the Potteries, the Ridgway family can be traced to the earliest days of the Staffordshire potteries, along with such famous names as Wedgwood, Spode and Adams.
