Black Transferware Lustreware Plate Spode Copeland circa 1879 Wildflowers

Antique c. 1878-80Spode Copeland Stoke Upon TrentVERY RARE BLACK TRANSFER WARE PLATECornflowers and Fruits This beautifully detailed plate dates to the Aesthetic Movement (late 1800's) and was made by one of the greatest potteries in the world, Spode/Copeland. It is a black transfer with a lustre finish and handpainted shades of gold. . Measures: just under 10"Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks. I found no crazing. There are faint surface scratches which can be seen when turned in light at an angle. The condition is beautiful! Marked: impressed with the word Copeland and a B below. It is also hand numbered 2 over 2396 (which would be the pattern number) and a small mark, probably artist initials but I cannot make them out.
