LA Landmarks - The Hollywood Bowl
Since 1922, Los Angelenos have gathered to listen to the best the music world has to offer. Symphony orchestras, Broadway legends, Blues, Jazz, rock and roll superstars, and world renown musicians have graced this unique venue created by architect Myron Hunt (Rose Bowl). Additions over the years included a reflecting pool with fountains in the 1950s, moving walkways in the 60's, Frank Gehry and Christopher Jaffe redesigned the acoustics in the 70's and 80's, a completed reconstruction of the stage, shell and outer buildings in the mid 90"s, and renovation for seismic compliance in the 2000's. Most memories come from first visits, famed musicians, the finest voices in the history of song, and a bevy of glittering celebrities. Whether it's in a box seat near the stage or on the highest benches, you'll always remember the sights and sounds of the quality performances. All of this detail is represented in our desktop print of The Bowl, reliving the good times and great music! 5" x 5" T
