Georg Jensen by Bernadotte Sterling Silver 4-Piece Vanity Set from 1930s with Mirror, Brushes, and Comb

Georg Jensen sterling silver, beautifully hand-hammered vanity set, all in pattern number 278, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte and made in the 1930s. It consists of: - a hand mirror, measuring 8 7/8'' in length- an oval brush with a handle, measuring 8 2/3'' in length- a garment brush, measuring 6 2/3'' in length- a comb, measuring 7 1/8'' in length  This set bears hallmarks as shown. Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935) set up his own silver business in 1904 in Copenhagen. Jensen's training in metalsmithing -- along with his education in the fine arts -- allowed him to combine the two disciplines and revive the tradition of the artist craftsman. Soon, the beauty and quality of his creations caught the eye of the public and his success was assured. In 1912, expansion of his studio began in earnest.
