Georg Jensen hand-hammered sterling silver serving dish or sauce boat in Blossom pattern number 177, from the 1910s or 1920s, the handle and the base adorned with stylized geometric and natural motifs. It measures 4 7/8'' in height by 8'' in depth by 3 7/8'' in width, weighs 12.7 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown. Danish silversmith Georg Jensen (1866-1935) set up his own silver business in 1904 in Copenhagen. Jensen's training in metalsmithing, along with his education in the fine arts, allowed him to combine the two disciplines and revive the tradition of the artist craftsman.
