Bamboo Muhly

Muhlenbergia dumosa Bamboo Muhly is a clumping grass from Southern Arizona and Northern Mexico. With its tall, light, airy stems reaching 4-6 feet, it resembles delicate bamboo and showcases bright green foliage. As the late fall and winter months roll in, the tips of its foliage take on a pale pinkish-green hue, adorned with tiny flowers. Even though it spreads slowly thanks to its rhizomatous nature, it’s easy to manage. This plant loves full sun and appreciates an occasional drink of water.
