Muhlenbergia dubia Muhlenbergia dubia, known as Pine Muhly Grass, is a smaller choice compared to the Big Muhly, especially when you're working with limited space. This evergreen, clump-forming grass features stiff, upright green leaves that create a beautifully tidy look, reminiscent of the Big Muhly. Its flowers, resembling slender cream to tan rods, are just like those of Deer Grass.  Originating from elevations between 3,300 and 5,000 feet in the stunning Chihuahuan desert regions of eastern Arizona, New Mexico, South Texas, and northern Mexico, this grass brings a touch of nature's beauty to your garden. For best results, plant it in full sun with fairly well-drained soil. Although little supplemental irrigation is needed, if the soil drains well, it can comfortably handle a bit more regular watering.  BONAP MAP Height: 2’-3’Spread: 2’-3’ Bloom: August-OctoberLight: Full SunWater: LowZone: 6-10   Origin: Southwest U.S.
