Yellow Bells 'Sangria'
Tecoma stans var. sangria A charming, irregularly shaped deciduous shrub that typically stands 3 to 6 feet tall in most of the U.S. (can grow up to 9' in tropical climates). This delightful Yellow Bells variety features several stems and slender, upright branches adorned with clusters of large, trumpet-shaped, deep orange flowers with wine-colored throats, brilliantly contrasting with the lance-shaped olive-green leaves. These flowers bloom spring through fall. The natural habitat of this plant is quite extensive, stretching from south Texas all the way to Arizona and down through Mexico, Central America, and even to northern Argentina. It also thrives in southern Florida and throughout much of the Caribbean. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. This variety is quite hardy and can survive freezing temperatures, though they will die back to the ground to reemerge in spring. Well-suited for monsoon seasons, thriving in dry spells in between.
