Allium stellatum (Prairie Onion) is an onion of the prairie (obviously) and similar to the related Allium cernuum (Nodding Wild Onion) except that prairie onions flowers typically stand more upright rather than hanging down as the "nodding" onion does. This onion prefers it a bit dryer than its causing and also needs a bit more light liking more full sun conditions.
