These plants were once so plentiful they were literally called weeds because they were problematic in agricultural fields. Asclepias viridis (Green antelopehorn Milkweed) is native to Southern half of Illinois. Extremely interesting flowers with cream on the outside and purple in the middle. This plant is short and compact, and it behaves well
