What an interesting tree! Paw Paw is from a genus of plants mostly from tropical and sub-tropical plants.  It produces fruit and many people enjoy its fruit referring to it as a cross between a banana and a papaya. However, it does require pollination from distant relatives to produce its fruit, as it protects itself from inbreeding. This tree prefers moist soils and light shade to grow best.
